FocusGoal Daily is designed with data minimization in mind. We collect only information strictly necessary to provide curriculum roadmaps, study streaks, offline persistence, and cloud synchronization:
Account and Profile Information
When you create an account, we collect your display name and email address. This information is used solely to authenticate your session, link your learning progress across devices, and provide direct customer support.
Learning Progress & Checklists
We record your selected career paths (e.g., Software Engineering, Flutter, DevOps, Product Management), active stage completions, topic checklist checks, personal study notes, and daily streak counters.
Offline & Local Device Storage
FocusGoal Daily operates offline-first. Your curriculum roadmaps and daily progress are cached locally on your device in a high-performance SQLite database via Drift. When an active internet connection is available, your progress syncs securely with our cloud infrastructure.
Crash Diagnostics & Telemetry
We use Firebase Crashlytics to monitor application stability. If an error occurs, anonymized diagnostic logs (device model, operating system version, and stack trace) may be collected. These logs contain no personal learning content or sensitive data.
Subscriptions & Purchases
FocusGoal Pro subscriptions and in-app upgrades are processed exclusively through Google Play Billing and RevenueCat. We never collect or store your payment card numbers or banking credentials. We receive only transaction tokens and entitlement validation receipts.
2. How We Use Information
We use your data solely to deliver and improve FocusGoal Daily:
- To provide, personalize, and synchronize your 80+ career roadmaps and 600+ stage milestones.
- To calculate your study streaks and trigger optional daily motivational reminders.
- To answer curriculum deep dives using contextual AI queries when you explicitly tap "Ask AI".
- To restore your FocusGoal Pro subscription status across your Android devices.
- To diagnose technical crashes and deliver performance optimizations.
We never sell, rent, or trade your personal data or study history to third-party advertisers or data brokers.
3. Cloud Infrastructure & Service Providers
We partner with industry-standard, security-audited cloud infrastructure providers:
- Supabase: Provides managed database hosting, user authentication, and secure encrypted cloud synchronization.
- Firebase Crashlytics (Google): Captures anonymous crash logs to ensure app stability.
- Google Play Billing & RevenueCat: Manages subscription status, receipt validation, and cross-device Pro entitlements.
- Anthropic (Claude) & OpenAI: Processes curriculum context and user-prompted queries strictly when you interact with the in-app AI tutor. Queries are not retained for public model training.
4. Data Security
All communication between the FocusGoal Daily mobile app, website, and our servers is encrypted in transit using Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3). At rest, database files and cloud storage volumes are protected by AES-256 encryption. While no method of digital transmission is infallible, we enforce modern security practices to protect your data against unauthorized access.
5. Your Rights & Choices
Under international privacy regulations (including GDPR, CCPA, and Google Play policies), you maintain complete rights over your information:
- Access & Export: You can request a digital export of your account data and roadmap history at any time.
- Correction: You can update your display name or account credentials directly within the app settings.
- Erasure: You can permanently wipe your account and all stored study progress instantly.
6. Instant Account & Data Deletion
You can permanently erase your FocusGoal Daily account directly from your device at any time:
If you have uninstalled the app or lost your mobile device, you can submit an erasure request directly through our official Account & Data Deletion Portal. All personal identifiers and progress will be purged within 7 business days.
7. Children’s Privacy
FocusGoal Daily is intended for students, self-directed learners, and career professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in certain jurisdictions). If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.
